Why ServPatrol?

ServPatrol is a client-server application. Its main purpose is to allow system administrators to monitor the states of various systems (units) in linked sets of several systems (landscapes), physically residing in the same network segment or domain, placed geographically in the same place (e.g. in an organization), or linked logically.

Such landscapes are based on SAP instances and complementary systems, such as databases, FTP servers, and others. The application provides both fast actual and real-time information about the state of any system in the monitored landscape and the state of underlying network devices.

ServPatrol is a client-server application. ServPatrol is a SAP certified product (Integration with SAP NetWeaver and SAP Solution Manager). The application provides both fast actual and real-time information. Configurable, flexible alarming schemes will always keep the administrator informed of critical events (via E-Mail, SMS or command execution). ServPatrol allows system administrators to monitor the states of various systems:

SAP systems, including many important functions (ABAP and Java stacks, disk free space, PI alerts, spool jobs and other...)
CCMS monitoring functionality according to SAP certification requirements:

- Alarm monitoring and confirmation
- Setting threshold values for the MTE (Monitoring Tree Elements)
- Reading current values of the performance attributes
